Joe Faragone is an experienced manager in the federal public service and a serving member of the Canadian Armed Forces primary reserves. He is currently the lead senior policy advisor at Treasury Board Secretariat of Canada leading the review of the Treasury Board Policy on Results. Prior to that, he was the acting Director-RBM at the Public Health Agency of Canada. He has previously worked at Defence Research & Development Canada, Natural Resources Canada, Canadian International Development Agency, Department of National Defence, National Research Council, and Correctional Service Canada. His area of expertise include RBM and its various elements, policy development, program management, science policy, and intelligence, security and emergency management. He has a BA in Political Science, MA in Public Policy and Public Administration, MA in War Studies, and is completing a PhD in Public Administration – his dissertation is exploring performance management in the public sector. He has presented at various conferences, including at international peer-reviewed fora.
