Julie joined the public service in 2001. She is currently Deputy Director, Planning & Performance with Global Affairs Canada’s Peace and Stabilization Operations Program (PSOPs); actively trying to plan, measure, report and communicate the work of the bureau. Her work focusses on: strategic planning and reporting for PSOPs; corporate planning and reporting; strategic communications and outreach; performance measurement and supporting the government’s Results and Delivery agenda; bureau resource management support (including Budget proposals, TB Submissions); oversight and coordination of program evaluations; and learning and training delivery for PSOPs, GAC and ODGs.

Before joining PSOPs, she gained valuable central agency experience managing three teams in corporate services at the Privy Council Office for 2 ½ years. She worked for 10 years with CIDA in grants & contributions management, helping to effectively deliver Canada’s aid budget. She was also in project management for 3 years at the Canadian Commercial Corporation, specializing in international exporting. Julie studied International Management and Marketing at the University of Ottawa, and obtained a Certified International Trade Professional designation in 2004.
